We stopped at the black sand beach with a guided tour on our first visit to Maui. We went back last year for a second tour and had blast. The beach, the lava tube, the blowhole, it was great.
I shared comments with someone on a blog once on how it doesn’t really feel like sand at the black sand beach, more like small rocks. Agreed, some parts of the relatively small beach are finer than others, and we never walked through the sand in our bare feet, it’s still pretty cool. The thought that the sand here is eroded lava rocks from the very same volcanoes that created the islands themselves is pretty cool.

We stopped at the Hana Hotel Maui for lunch with the guided tour on our first trip to Maui. We drove the Road to Hana this year,
and stayed one night at the Hana Hotel Maui. Spacious Villa overlooking the ocean. and lots of greenery.. If you love the quiet and great place to relax stay at the Hana Maui Resort. I enjoyed my stay:)
