Just by the number of cars, we knew the beach would be both crowded and amazing. It was back in '07 and there was still construction going on nearby. Fortunately, that didn't spoil the atmosphere for our visit there. There were areas blocked off, but I was still able to hike up the lawn to the walking trail and follow that all the way to the far tip of crescent, where I took the large photo above. It was an awesome view of the entire beach, and the next time you make it out there, be sure to check it out.
